Trail of the Caribou Research Group is excited to launch this new website ShareHerStory.ca

This is a website where we can collect information and start detailing and preservation of the stories of the women of Newfoundland and Labrador. Their roles in shaping our heritage and developing our place.

It will have 2 distinct focal groups:  One - those who served in the Military and Two; those who married Newfoundland service men.  Both of these focal groups are specifically intended to gather information for specific projects.

REASONING

​

Military Service - We want to record in detail the legacy and the deeds of the women of the Dominion of Newfoundland and now province of Newfoundland and Labrador.  We want to  commemorate and ensure their deeds, service and sacrifice are forever remembered.

​

War Brides – We are working on a project to record the women from other countries who married men from here during times of war or service overseas.  We also know of 2 Men who married Newfoundland and Labrador women.  What impact did this have on NL?
